Progress In Kurram Peace Accord: Jirga Agrees To Reopen Roads, Continue Talks
The meeting brought together a 14-member committee from each side, emphasizing cooperation and mutual trust moving forward.
Discussions also covered the dismantling of bunkers and the surrender of weapons. So far, 26 bunkers have been demolished under the peace accord, marking significant progress in disarmament efforts. The jirga leaders urged the government to expedite compensation for those affected by the conflict.

Speaking to the media, jirga members highlighted the critical importance of reopening roads to restore normalcy. They confirmed ongoing discussions regarding disarmament and the removal of fortifications.
Meanwhile, a convoy of 130 vehicles carrying food and essential supplies has successfully reached Kurram, alleviating some of the hardships faced by the local population.
