Queen Silvia's Visit Extremely Important, Says Ambassador

Doha, Qatar: Swedish Ambassador to Qatar H E Gautam Bhattacharyya speaking to media on the sidelines of the press conference emphasised the importance of the first visit of H M Queen Silvia of Sweden, President of Mentor International, to Qatar to attend the exclusive Mentor Arabia Gala Dinner 2025.
He also indicated that Youth Empowerment and Employment for Development (YEED) project – the joint initiative between Education Above All, ROTA and Mentor Arabia, marks the beginning of the long-term collaboration.
Terming the visit of H M Queen Silvia of Sweden as“extremely important” Ambassador Bhattacharyya said,“It is a private visit, but it is an important visit for Her Majesty, for Sweden, for the foundation (Mentor Arabia Foundation) and for the youth. This is an important initiative in these times.”

“This visit is just the start of a long collaboration, I hope, which will lead to positive impact for youngsters across the Arabian countries,” he added.
During the three day visit of the H M Queen Silvia of Sweden, she will take part in several cultural and social activities. Her Majesty will also meet with Qatari businesswomen to hear their inspiring success stories and the positive impact they have made in their communities.
“She will have a number of engagements during these three days regarding culture and youth. She will also have interactions with very senior people in the Qatari ecosystem,” said Ambassador Bhattacharyya.
