(MENAFN- Newsroom Panama)
In recent days, the Ministry of Labor and Labor Development (Mitradel) has intensified inspection operations at companies to check whether the foreign personnel they have working there have all their documents up to date. During the night operation coordinated by Labor Inspectors of the Labor Migration Department of the Ministry of Labor and Labor Development, it was verified whether companies comply with the provisions contained in the Labor Code, which prohibit hiring foreigners who do not have a valid work permit. The agency stressed that fines for companies for each irregular worker are 500 dollars in the first instance and can reach 10 thousand dollars with the risk of losing the operating notice.
