Saudi Arabia Hosts 2Nd Meeting Of Saudi-Omani Council


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) JEDDAH, Dec 12 (KUNA) -- The second meeting of the Saudi-Omani coordination council was held on Thursday in the province of Al-Ula, presided by Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan and his Omani counterpart Badr Al-Bousaeedi.
The official Saudi Press Agency said that Prince Faisal, during the reception of his Omani counterpart, expressed satisfaction for the exerted efforts for boosting the bilateral relations, backed with with the two countries' leaderships for bolstering the mutual cooperation and the two countries' regional and international roles for sake of security and stability.
Prince Faisal affirmed consensus with Muscat on various issues, noting necessity of ongoing coordination for tackling bilateral, regional and global affairs of common concern.
He added that the second meeting of the coordination council is complementary to the first meeting held in November last year in Oman, when the two sides launched 55 initiatives.
For his part, minister Al-Bousaeedi affirmed that the cooperation between the two countries contributes to regional stability and prosperity.
Following the meeting, the two sides signed an accord for joint diplomatic studies and training. (end)
