Azerbaijan, Yemen Expand Cultural Relations
The Azerbaijan Culture Minister Adil Karimov has received the newly appointed Ambassador of Yemen to Azerbaijan Mohammad Saleh Tareeq, Azernews reports citing the ministry .
Adil Karimov congratulated the diplomat on the occasion of his commencement of duty in Azerbaijan and wished him success in his endeavors. He pointed out that Azerbaijan, being a part of the Islamic world, values cooperation with Muslim countries.
The minister stressed that the culture is an important means to build bridges between peoples. A legal framework should be established for cooperation in the field of culture between Azerbaijan and Yemen. The Azerbaijani side is ready to take steps in this direction.
Expressing his gratitude for the warm welcome, the Ambassador Mohammad Saleh Ahmed Tariq expressed his satisfaction with his role as a diplomat in Azerbaijan.
He emphasized that he would spare no effort in fostering relations between the two countries in various fields, including culture.
During the conversation, ideas were exchanged about the education of Yemeni youth in the field of arts in Azerbaijan, and gaining experience in areas such as libraries, museums, and the preservation of cultural heritage, among others.
