ASCO Of Azerbaijan Reveals Functioning Of Second Handysize Dry Bulk Carrier Purchased
The acquisition was enabled through a capital influx generated from bonds issued by ASCO.
The newly acquired dry cargo ship will be named“Murovdag”.
This ship, along with the inaugural dry cargo of this kind, "Khojaly," tips the scales at around 38,000 tons. The length stretches to 179.9 meters, the width measures 30 meters, the board stands tall at 15 meters, the draft dips down to 10.47 meters, and it can zip along at a maximum speed of 15.7 knots.
The second dry cargo ship, which ticks all the boxes for international environmental standards, was crafted in Japan back in 2020.
The maiden voyage of the Murovdag will set sail from China, making its way to Ecuador before heading off to Colombia. It's on track to hit the shores of its destination come December 2024.
