Azerbaijan's Garabagh University To Open Medical Faculty Next Year - Rector


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) KHANKENDI, Azerbaijan, September 21. Azerbaijan's Garabagh University will begin admitting students to its medical faculty in the next academic year, Shahin Bayramov, the university's rector, told Trend .

He pointed out that the Garabagh University has been built according to modern standards and offers new content aimed at training specialists for the future.

"Our team consists of professionals. So, the university will provide higher education services of the highest quality. In its first academic year, the university admitted 1,154 students, and 160 staff members will be employed there. Garabagh University has been given special tasks. Our students achieved high scores in the entrance exams, and new specialties will be introduced in the coming years.

Medical education will be delivered in an entirely new context. Garabagh University also plans to become a research university," he added.

To note, Garabagh University currently operates from three academic buildings. The main building houses the Faculty of Pedagogy, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Faculty of Economics, and Faculty of Tourism. The second building is dedicated to the Faculty of Arts, while the third hosts the International Language Center.

Initially, personnel training will be conducted across six faculties: Pedagogy, Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, Economics, Engineering, and Tourism.
