Kazakhstan, World Bank To Adopt New Partnership Strategy For 2025-2030


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) ASTANA, Kazakhstan, August 30. Kazakhstan and World bank will adopt a new partnership strategy for 2025-2030, Trend reports.

The news followed a meeting between Kazakhstan's Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Economy Nurlan Baibazarov with representatives of the World Bank (WB) and the International Finance Corporation (IFC, part of the World Bank group) in Astana.

According to Deputy Prime Minister, the new partnership framework strategy for 2025-2030 is currently undergoing approval procedures. The strategy will define the key areas of the WB activities in Kazakhstan such as supporting public sector reforms, macroeconomic and fiscal sustainability, financial sector, transformation of agriculture, digital development.

During the meeting, the parties discussed key areas of cooperation, the implementation of previously financed investment projects and the removal of barriers to improve the effectiveness of World Bank Group programs in Kazakhstan.

Nurlan Baibazarov emphasized that currently between Kazakhstan and the World Bank have established close ties involving a wide range of economic issues.

Representatives of the World Bank noted their interest in providing financing for the implementation of new projects of great importance for the economic development of the country, including in such areas as transport and logistics, infrastructure, energy, utilities.
