
Local Dates Festival At Souq Waqif Sells Over 118 Tonnes In Six Days
Doha, Qatar: This year's edition of the Local Dates Exhibition at Souq Waqif has sold over 118 tonnes of dates during the first six days of the event.
Among the best-selling types of dates from local farms include 50,010kg of Ikhlas, 24,593kg of Shishi, 23,047kg of Khanizi, 12,197kg of Barhi, and 8,799kg of other kinds.

The 12-day event also welcomed about 33,000 visitors, citizens and residents alike.
The 9th edition of the Local Dates Exhibition will run until August 3. It operates daily from 4pm to 9pm, and until 10pm only on Fridays.
