100 Aid Trucks Arrive In Gaza With Support From Jordanian, Int'l Organizations

Amman, July 25 (Petra) – This week, 100 trucks of humanitarian aid crossed into Gaza, coordinated by the Jordan armed forces - Arab army and the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) in collaboration with the World Food Program.
The aid effort was bolstered by contributions from the Jordan Charities and Industrialists Union, the Palestine Children's Relief Fund, the Islamic Cultural Association, Save the Children International, Al-Najat Charity, SKT Welfare, CARE International, Taalof Alkhair, and United Mission Relief.
According to a JHCO statement on Thursday, the convoys delivered food parcels, tents, flour, mattresses, and clothing, to be distributed by partner organizations within Gaza.
JHCO Secretary-General Hussein Shibli emphasized the importance of ramping up relief efforts to meet the humanitarian needs of the Gaza Strip. He noted that as of Thursday, a total of 2,735 land trucks, and 53 planes through El Arish International Airport, had entered Gaza.
