Azerbaijan's Ornithological Tourism Opportunities Introduces At Global Bird Fair Exhibition
Azerbaijan's ornithological tourism opportunities were showcased at the Global Bird Fair tourism exhibition held in the Rutland region of Great Britain, Azernews reports, citing the release by the State Tourism Agency.
The exhibition featured presentations on mountainous areas and water basins suitable for birdwatching in Azerbaijan, rare bird species and their optimal observation seasons, natural habitats for ornithological tourism, and the biodiversity found in national parks. Additionally, B2B-format meetings were conducted.
The Agency, along with the Azerbaijan Tourism Bureau, collaborated closely with international experts and the Ornithological Society of Azerbaijan to advance ornithological tourism, a crucial facet of ecotourism. Their efforts included producing brochures and organising training sessions for nature tourism guides.
The Global Bird Fair, attended by representatives from over 60 countries, is an annual international event dedicated to promoting ornithological tourism.
