Jordan Decries Jewish Settlers' Storming Of Aqsa Mosque

AMMAN, June 5 (KUNA) -- The Jordanian Foreign Ministry Wednesday condemned the storming by extremist Jewish settlers of Al-Aqsa Mosque right under the nose of Israeli Occupation Police forces.
Nonstop attempts to break into the Al-Aqsa Mosque, desecration of its sanctity, and extremist practices in occupied Jerusalem as well as restrictions on Palestinians are provocative and unacceptable, the Foreign Ministry's Spokesman Sufian Qudah said in a press statement.
He decried such violations as a blatant breach of international law and the historical and legal status of Jerusalem and its sanctities.
The spokesman underlined that the Israeli occupation has no sovereignty over Al-Aqsa Mosque, occupied East Jerusalem, or its Islamic and Christian holy sites.
Earlier in the day, hundreds of extremist Jewish settlers provocatively broke into Al-Aqsa Mosque from Bab Al-Maghariba gate under the protection of Israeli occupation forces on Wednesday. (end)
