Houthis Attack Greek Ship In Red Sea


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 29. US Central Command(CENTCOM) reported that Houthi rebels from Yemen's Ansar Allahmovement attacked the Greek ship Laax, sailing under the flag ofthe Marshall Islands, CENTCOM wrote on its X page, Trend reports.

It is reported that the Houthis fired five anti-ship ballisticmissiles towards the Red Sea from areas under their control inYemen.

"The Greek-owned, Marshall Islands-flagged bulk carrier Laaxsaid it was hit by three missiles but continued sailing," CENTCOMsaid.

It is noted that US, coalition and commercial vessels were notdamaged. It is also reported that five drones launched by theHouthis from Yemen were destroyed over the Red Sea. The commandsaid that the UAVs posed a direct threat to merchant ships in theregion.
