PETALUMA, CA, US, March 26, 2024 /EINPresswire / -- Singer-songwriter David Luning releases his first single“Down Below” from his upcoming album“Lessons” available worldwide on March 29. 2024.
The gritty, soulful ballad“Down Below,” creates the setting of a dark and vulnerable character who has resigned that the end is near. The accompanying video, Luning's NPR Tiny Desk Concert Contest submission showcases his striking vocal performance in the rain, which expresses the somber tone of the song. Luning elaborates,“with 'Down Below', I was trying to embody the feeling of looking back on things that you've done and regretted, to the extent that you feel acceptance that you must just be a lost cause. Definitely not a good feeling. However, recording this song was an incredible experience. I had the great honor to work with Damien Paige Lewis, who is an amazing producer and engineer, and he was able to really help capture the mood and essence of that feeling."
“Down Below” features David Luning on vocals and acoustic guitar; Dave Sampson on lead guitar, Ben Dubin on bass and Linden Reed on drums. The song will be released on March 29, 2024.
