Poland Says NATO Summit in Turkey Will Highlight Unity, Military Strength

(MENAFN) Poland’s president said Wednesday that the upcoming NATO summit in Türkiye will demonstrate the alliance’s political cohesion and military capabilities amid heightened security concerns linked to Russia, according to reports.

Speaking at a joint press conference following a Bucharest Nine (B9) meeting in Romania, Karol Nawrocki said allied leaders held “constructive dialogue” ahead of the NATO gathering scheduled for July 7–8 in Ankara, according to Romanian news agency.

He also emphasized the continued strength of cooperation within the B9 framework and expressed support for expanding the group to include Nordic NATO members such as Sweden, Norway, Finland, Iceland, and Denmark.

According to reports, he said such an expansion would enhance coordination across NATO’s eastern flank, stretching “from the Arctic to the Black Sea.”
