Yermak Discusses Defense Needs, Sanctions, G19 Summit With Sullivan


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak discussed Ukraine's priority defense needs with National Security Advisor to the President of the United States Jake Sullivan.

“As part of the continuous dialogue with the allies, Yermak briefed the interlocutor on the current situation at the frontline, particularly in the most contested areas. The parties discussed Ukraine's priorities regarding the defense,” the President's Office informs .

The Head of the President's Office thanked for the participation of the US side in the meeting of national security advisors and political directors regarding Ukraine's Peace Formula, which took place on August 5-6 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The interlocutors also touched on the issue of preparations for the G19 summit in India in September.

Yermak and Sullivan also discussed ongoing efforts to impose strong sanctions on the Russian Federation.

The Head of the President's Office thanked the United States, President Joseph Biden, Congress and the entire American people for the help and support of Ukraine in the struggle for its freedom, sovereignty and territorial integrity.

As reported, the meeting of advisers to the heads of state regarding the Ukrainian Peace Formula took place on August 5-6, 2023 in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia). The Ukrainian delegation also held bilateral meetings with delegations from more than 30 countries.
