Egypt, Bahrain Seek To Maintain Regional Peace


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) CAIRO, Aug 5 (KUNA) -- Egypt and Bahrain stressed the im port
ance of strengthening the mechanisms of joint Arab action within the framework of the effort to maintain the state of peace and security in the face of various diverse and escalating challenges in the region.
During their meeting on Saturday, Egyptian President Abdelfattah El-Sisi and Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa discussed bilateral and regional issues of common interest, Egyptian presidential spokesman Ahmad Fahmy said.
In addition, both leaders exchanged views and visions, reiterating the im port
ance of intensifying cooperation between the two brotherly countries, the spokesman added.
King Hamad, now on a visit to Egypt, held the summit talks with President Al-Sisi in the Mediterranean port
city of New Alamain, northwest Egypt. (end)
