Turkey Sends Winter Humanitarian Aid to Gaza
(MENAFN) As winter sets in, Türkiye is intensifying its humanitarian support to Gaza, where ongoing conflict has left many residents in urgent need.
Humanitarian aid trucks from the city of Melikgazi in Kayseri province have departed for Gaza, carrying essential supplies such as blankets, quilts, and beds. The initiative is organized by the local municipality in coordination with the Humanitarian Relief Foundation (IHH).
According to UN reports, more than one million people—roughly half of Gaza’s population—still require emergency shelter assistance. Harsh winter conditions are worsening the situation for families living in tents or severely damaged buildings, making timely aid crucial.
The IHH continues to provide critical relief items, including food, water, medicine, and other necessities. In 2025 alone, the organization sent 77 trucks of aid to Gaza and distributed 28.7 million hot meals in partnership with the World Food Program (WFP).
The latest aid convoy was dispatched with prayers from local officials, as Melikgazi Municipality persists in its efforts to alleviate suffering amid the protracted humanitarian crisis in the region.
