NAIROBI, Aug 5 (NNN-KBC) - President William Ruto has said that Kenya and Israel will explore opportunities for partnership in food production and irrigation, blue economy, border control and health areas.

The Head of State spoke Friday after he met the Israel Ambassador to Kenya Michael Lotem at State House, Nairobi County.

President Ruto asserted that the Kenya and Israel ties over the years have grown from strength to strength because of cooperation in education, trade, agriculture and security.

The two countries mark the 60th anniversary of bilateral ties.

“Now in the 60th year of our relationship, we are looking to explore more opportunities for partnership in food production and irrigation, blue economy, border control and health,” Ruto said.

On his part, Ambassador to Kenya Michael Lotem said Israel is happy to work with the Government of Kenya and the private sector to build strong people to people relations to positively impact their livelihoods. - NNN-KBC
