Musk declines Ukraine Starlink admittance close to Crimea

(MENAFN) The SpaceX co-creator, United States billionaire Elon Musk, banned Ukraine from utilizing his firm`s Starlink satellite communications system to raid Russia, the news agency stated on Friday, quoting sources accustomed with the situation.

SpaceX has given more than 20,000 Starlink satellite terminals to Ukraine since the increase of the war with Russia in last February last year, giving internet admittance in chaotic battlefield regions that would otherwise be cut off. Kiev, however, looked to gear up the communications structure, in line with the news agency.

At some point in last year, Ukrainian militaries desired to utilize the satellite structure to fire a maritime drone and attack Russian boats docked at Black Sea docks. Musk declined Kiev’s appeal to provide its militaries admittance to Starlink near Crimea to ease the assault.

In mid-February the businessperson stated on Twitter that his firm would not “enable escalation of a conflict that may lead to WWIII.”
