Kuwait Fencers Win New Medal In Arab Games In Algeria
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ALGIERS, July 11 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti fencers on Tuesday grabbed one more medal, bronze, during competition in the Algeria-hosted Arab Games, bringing the total number of medals to nine: four silver and five bronze medals.
For the third day in a row, the Kuwaiti national team managed to secure a sport in the podiums for the fencing competitions that took place at the Women's Sports Center in Ben Aknoun (Algiers), where the Kuwaiti fencing team won a new bronze medal with the fluorescent weapon.
The Kuwaiti team that won today's medal came in third place in the fencing competition, namely the fluorescent weapon competition, and they are the champions Ali Al-Nassar, Ali Fadhel, Abdulaziz Juma, and Saleh Abdul Karim.
It is noteworthy that the Kuwaiti team managed, since the beginning of the Arab Games, to snatch four medals in the athletics competition, two silver medals for each of the two champions, Yaqoub Al-Youha and Issa Al-Zankawi, and two bronze medals for the champion runner, Madawi Al-Shammari, and the champion, Abdulrahman Al-Azmi, in the javelin throw competition.
