Algeria receive Iranian non-oil exports of USD1.34m


(MENAFN) Algeria was the recipient of Iranian exports of USD1.134 million in the first quarter of the ongoing Iranian calendar year (March 21–June 21) to see an increase of 109 percent annually, as stated by the vice president of the Iran-Africa Merchants Club.

According to Ruhollah Latifi, the total cost of Iranian imports from Algeria over the aforementioned 3 months was USD2,200.

Latifi said that the Islamic Republic's exports to Algeria during the preceding Iranian calendar year (which concluded on March 20) were USD14.847 million, setting a record-high for over 14 years.

The representative stated that in the first quarter of the ongoing calendar year, Iran shipped to 37 African nations 327,000 tons of non-oil goods worth USD122.751 million. In addition, the nation brought in 13,861 tons of merchandise from 17 African nations valued USD17.263 million.

According to Latifi, the top five exporting nations to Iran during the studied period were South Africa, Tanzania, Ghana, Congo, as well as Kenya. The top five exporting nations to Ghana during the studied period were South Africa, Tanzania, Ghana, Somalia, as well as Kenya.
