Russia Expresses Willingness to Import Technologies, Expertise from Saudi Arabia

(MENAFN) During a high-profile forum in Riyadh focused on enhancing economic relations between Saudi Arabia and Russia, Alexey Gruzdev, the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, expressed Russia's willingness to import and acquire advanced technologies and expertise from its partners. Gruzdev highlighted the importance of imports for Russia and encouraged Russian companies to explore the wide range of opportunities offered by Saudi Arabia.

The two-day event, titled "Made in Russia + Innoprom," serves as a platform to strengthen the commitment of both nations towards mutually beneficial partnerships and sustained growth. Gruzdev emphasized the significance of Russian companies visiting Saudi Arabia to gain insights into the experiences and capabilities of local producers, as well as to explore potential imports of materials, components, and services from Saudi Arabia to Russia.

When asked about measures taken by Russia to address the trade imbalance with Saudi Arabia, Gruzdev stated that their presence at the forum aimed to assess the substantial turnover between the two countries and find ways to enhance it further. He emphasized that although Russia is a producing country, they embrace a modern model that encompasses not only global supply but also the readiness to import and acquire valuable technologies and expertise from their partners.

This statement signifies Russia's recognition of the importance of collaboration and knowledge exchange in today's interconnected global economy. By actively seeking imports and partnerships, Russia aims to strengthen its own industries and contribute to the growth and development of its partner countries, such as Saudi Arabia.
