Amman, May 16 (Petra) -- Temperatures on Tuesday are expected to rise 4-5 degrees above the annual average, bringing relatively hot conditions in most parts of the Kingdom except in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba where it will be hot, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.
Similar weather conditions will persist on Wednesday, with southeasterly moderate winds changing to northwesterly active, blowing dust in the Badia, the JMD added.
Thursday will see a significant drop in mercury, triggering back moderate conditions in much of the country, with low clouds, and northwesterly winds.
Today, the highs in Amman and other highlands across the Kingdom will range between 30 and 34 degrees Celsius, dropping at night to 21C or even 18C in the southern highlands.
In the Gulf city of Aqaba, it will be much hotter with mercury reaching a high of 39C and a low of 26C.
