Ukraine's NSDC Secretary Not Ruling Out Formation Of New Security Alliances

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Oleksiy Danilov, the secretary of Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council, has said he does not rule out the possible creation of a new security alliance that may include Britain, Poland and Ukraine.

He stated this in an interview with Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, according to Ukrinform.

"At the NSDC, we have a project called 'Synergy.' It is open. We believe that it must be implemented in the next three, five or seven years in order for our country to be safe. As far as an alliance of Britain, Poland and Ukraine is concerned, this is an absolutely natural thing. I can say that one of our leading partners, in addition to the United States, is the United Kingdom, which helps us in the same way as Poland, the Baltic countries, and other countries in our fight against the No. 1 country, against the terrorist, against the aggressor, against the Russian Federation," Danilov said.
