Iraqi PM, Saudi Trade Min. Hold Talks In Baghdad


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) BHAGDAD, March 20 (KUNA) -- Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammad Al-Sudani and Saudi Trade Minister Majid Al-Qasabi held talks in Baghdad on Monday.
In a statement, the Iraqi Presidency said that during the meeting the two sides discussed a number of issues, mainly economy, investment, and energy.
They reviewed ways of cooperation between the two countries, and enhancing the bilateral relations for the benefit of the people of the brotherly countries, the statement added.
The statement quoted Al-Sudani as saying that his country is open for developing partnership with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in all sectors, and to coordinate in order to face the negative impacts of climate changes and the efforts exerted to reduce these impacts on the region.
On his part, the Saudi Minister Al-Qasabi called for continuing the work of the Saudi-Iraqi Coordination Council in the fields of economy, investments, tourism, security, and others.
The Saudi Trade Minister arrived in Baghdad earlier Monday in an official visit to Iraq heading a governmental delegation. (end)
