(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) BAGHDAD, March 19 (KUNA) -- Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammad Al-Sudani and the Secretary General of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) Haitham Al-Ghais discussed Sunday the most important challenges facing the global oil markets.
During a meeting in the Iraqi capital Baghdad, the two sides discussed ways to work to stabilize the oil market and the importance of coordination between oil-exporting countries in order to ensure that prices do not fluctuate, which affects both exporting and consuming countries, said the Iraqi presidency in a statement.
Earlier today, Al-Ghais arrived in Iraq and met with the Iraqi Oil Minister, Hayan Abdulghani, where they discussed the role-played by (OPEC) and (OPEC +) in the stability of global markets. (end)
