Wang Huning urges Hong Kong, Macao to reinforce confidence in development


(MENAFN) Senior Chinese leader Wang Huning urged national Political advisors from Hong Kong and Macao to strengthen confidence in the development of the regions and the entire country during a discussion on Wednesday. Wang, who is a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, also emphasized the crucial roles of Hong Kong and Macao in advancing the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

To achieve this goal, Wang emphasized the importance of implementing the "one country, two systems" policy fully and faithfully. This policy allows the people of Hong Kong and Macao to administer their respective regions with a high degree of autonomy, while the central government exercises overall jurisdiction over the two regions. Wang highlighted the importance of ensuring that Hong Kong and Macao are administered by patriots to maintain national security.

Wang also called on the political advisors to actively participate in addressing concerns and difficulties faced by the people in their daily lives, boosting development, and pooling wisdom and strength to ensure the continued success of the "one country, two systems" policy.

The discussions took place during the first session of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, with the attendance of national political advisors from Hong Kong and Macao.
