Japanese PM Meets Deputy Prime Minister And Minister Of Foreign Affairs

Tokyo: The Prime Minister of Japan Fumio Kishida met on Tuesday with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani during his current visit to Japan, on the sidelines of the second strategic dialogue between both countries.

Both sides discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations in all fields and the importance of continuing dialogue and coordination to foster joint interests.

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs hailed the solid relations between the two countries, expressing that Qatar is looking forward to the Japanese Prime Minister's visit to Doha.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs welcomed boosting the economic cooperation and encouraging mutual investments between both countries, most notably in energy sector, as well as encouraging joint investment in the renewable energy field.

The Prime Minister of Japan expressed his country's appreciation for the Qatari efforts for mediation and dispute resolution in a way that contributes to solidifying international peace and security.
