Doha: As per instructions of Ministry of Education and Higher Education, Pakistan International School Qatar (PISQ) arranged an educational trip to Stock Exchange of Qatar.
Forty Commerce students of Senior Girls Wing and Cambridge Wing along with four teachers visited the Stock Market.
The objective of this trip was to put financial learning in practical perspective, show students QSX, its operations and to create awareness about the investment and career paths available in the capital markets.
The speaker shared the investment culture in Qatar along with the avenues of investments.
The data portal of QSX was also shared with the students which would give them a virtual platform to practice their portfolio investment and give them confidence to enter the financial market as an investor.
The students also visited the trading floor and learned about the price index in Qatar.
It was a very interactive learning experience for all the students, many of their queries were answered, and it helped clear many myths about the financial sector.
Such events are the need of time as they also help bridge the industry academia gap and open up career prospects for the students.
All the students participated enthusiastically in the questions answers session.
At the end of the session, the speaker gave away certificates to the students and the teachers for their participation.
