Iran opens direct exporting line to Cuba
(MENAFN) Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for financial Diplomacy Mehdi Safari stated that a direct exporting line has been opened among Iran and Cuba which is anticipated to noticeably develop the financial ties among the two nations.
“[A] Direct shipping [line] has been established between Iran and Cuba since the last 20 days, which will increase the trade between the two countries,” Safari informed IRIB on Monday.
“Based on the conducted research, our country has also the potential to cooperate with Cuba in carrying out various projects, especially in the field of energy,” the official stated.
Last May, Iran and Cuba completed a roadmap for two-sided exchange among the two nations and inked a document in this concern throughout the 18th gathering of their mutual financial committee in Tehran.
As mentioned in report, the document was inked by Iran’s Deputy Industry Minister for Commercial as wel as Trade Affairs Mohammad-Sadegh Mofatteh in addition to Cuba's Deputy Premier Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz.
