Putin representative: We are prepared to intervene between Iran, S. Arabia
(MENAFN) Russian Vladimir Putin Special Envoy for the Middle East and North Africa has said Moscow is set to mediate between Iran and Saudi Arabia to resolve their arguments, according to IRNA.
“We are in contact with our Saudi and Iranian friends and support resolution of disputes and misunderstanding through constructive talks,” Mikhail Bogdanov informed Sputnik.
Iranian political and military officials state Saudi Arabia is increasing tensions in Iran through a disinformation drive by the London-based “Iran International” supported by the Saudi kingdom.
Just in latest days, the Wall Street Journal said that Saudi Arabia has told the United States of alleged imminent invasion from Iran.
“Saudi Arabia has shared intelligence with the U.S. warning of an imminent attack from Iran on targets in the kingdom, putting the American military and others in the Middle East on an elevated alert level,” the Wall Street Journal declared.
It further stated, “In response to the warning, Saudi Arabia, the U.S. and several other neighboring states have raised the level of alert for their military forces.”
