Tehran city council head: They seek to change Iran like Syria

(MENAFN) On the words of The head of the Tehran City Council, the enemy is trying to turn Iran to Syria.

Commenting in the city council’s open meeting on Sunday, Mehdi Chamran called everyone to follow the Leader of the Islamic revolution to be united.

“If we are not united, they will attack us. John Bolton himself declared that the interest of the United States is to create discord in Iran. The British also used this tactic for years, and those who divide our society know what divisions they are creating,” Chamran rang a bell.

Bolton was Donald Trump’s national security consultant. He was as well George W. Bush’s envoy to the United Nations.

Chamran added that it was obvious that demonstrations in Syria caused the creation of ISIS, and the enemies want to do the same to Iran.

“Nevertheless, we are a vigilant country with a 2,000-year-old civilization. We will go ahead and build our country by God's grace and we will take their (the enemy’s) peace if they want to take our peace,” the chief councilor went on.
