More Than 1,000 Residential Buildings Destroyed In Dnipropetrovsk Region Due To Russian Aggression


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) More than 1,000 residential buildings have been destroyed in Dnipropetrovsk region since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

'Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion, more than a thousand residential buildings have been destroyed in the region,' Mykola Lukashuk, Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council, Deputy Head of the Defense Council of Dnipropetrovsk region, said at a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine–Ukrinform.

According to him, from July 12 to August 16, 309 private residential buildings and 117 apartment blocks were destroyed and damaged in Nikopol district, which is constantly suffering enemy strikes launched from the temporarily captured territories of Zaporizhzhia region.

In Kryvyi Rih district, 30 private houses were completely destroyed and almost 500 were damaged in recent weeks. In Zelenodolsk community, which borders Kherson region, 59 apartment blocks were damaged by shelling, the head of the regional council noted.

As reported, on August 17, the enemy struck Kryvyi Rih and Nikopol districts of Dnipropetrovsk region. Nikopol came under fire twice. A woman was injured. Fifteen houses, farm buildings, cars, a school, a shop, and a temple were damaged in the town.
