Yemeni Sports Minister Discusses Ways Of Cooperation With Officials Of The Saudi Development And Reconstruction Program For Yemen


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Aden, Aug. 07, 2022, SPA -- Yemen's Minister of Youths and Sports Naif Al-Bakry discussed in Aden today with the Director of the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen Ahmed Al-Mudkhaly the most important needs and access of the program to Yemeni sports projects, building of facilities and ways of joint cooperation.
The Yemeni minister lauded the efforts being exerted by the program to provide support and rehabilitate sports facilities which sustained some kind of destruction during the struggle witnessed by the provisional capital of Aden during summer 2015.
The Yemeni news agency of Saba which carried the news said that Al-Bakry has reviewed a host of concerns suffered by the ministry amid scarcity of resources on one hand and the monopoly of the Houthi militia of the Youth Care Fund on the other, depriving the sports clubs in Yemen from benefiting from it.
For his part, the director of the program office said the program has recently approved a plan worth $400 million to support new projects in Yemen, partly appropriated to support sports and youths sectors.
