Science And Technology School Students Accepted By Prestigious Universities

Doha: All first batch students of Qatar Science and technology Secondary School for Boys in the current year has been accepted to prestigious local and international universities.

The majority of students obtained acceptance in more than one university, with 45% admitted to universities on the Emiri Scholarship List, 70% accepted in British universities, 45% accepted in American universities, and 35% accepted in Education City universities.

Since its beginning in 2018, the school has been dedicated to achieve its mission in preparing students through developing their creative and competitive abilities, developing their competencies as brilliant scientists, researchers, and inventors based on what students learn about the latest educational programmes and global systems, as well as providing all admission opportunities for students in the most prestigious local and international universities.

A number of factors contributed to distinguish the educational outcomes of this school to the various universities and institutions around the world, including excellence in providing innovative educational experiences in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). While adhering to the integrative approach to teaching STEM, and in a manner that meets the needs of learners in the 21st century. This was reflected in its educational outcomes, which were characterised by academic excellence in these areas, which made the school a distinctive model in public schools and a successful model for the“STEM” approach in education.

The school received international accreditation from“Cognia”, a non-profit organisation that provides quality assurance to schools and educational institutions. 

This accreditation ensures having an international certification and demonstrates the school's commitment to excellence and providing high quality academic programmes to students. This accreditation comes in addition to the membership of the American college board, through which the school became an accredited centre for teaching and assessing the Advanced Placement and SAT curricula, which are high-quality educational programs that helped students to be accepted into the best local and foreign universities.

The school was also keen to empower its students with various skills and requirements that are needed to enrol in top universities, such as IELTS tests, where students of the first batch obtained the highest grades required for admission to the most prestigious universities.

To enhance its efforts in providing training opportunities and continuous development of the students' scientific, practical, and applied abilities, the school attempted to establish areas of cooperation and partnership with educational institutions as well as local and international universities. Students from the school won local, regional, and worldwide competitions on a yearly basis, increasing their chances of admission to the best colleges.

The school continues to prepare its students to become exceptional scientists, researchers, and inventors capable of shaping their country's future in accordance with the Qatar National Vision 2030.​
