EgyptAir starts trips to Benghazi since 2014 due to instability


(MENAFN) On Monday, EgyptAir has declared that it started again direct flights among Cairo and Benghazi, following an eight-year break because of insecurity in Libya.

Amr Abol-Enein, head of the executive board of the holding firm for EgyptAir, stated that there is going to be a day-to-day direct flight among the two towns.

He went further on that the procedure comes within the agenda of the firm’s strategy to reinforce its existence in Africa.

Amr Abol-Enein also stated that “The company pays special attention to points of strategic importance, including the city of Benghazi, especially with the presence of many Egyptians residing and working in Libya, in addition to the endeavor to enhance trade and economic exchange between Egypt and Libya.”
