Doha: Strong wind and poor visibility is expected during the weekend. This will also be accompanied by hot weather conditions during daytime with blowing dust.
Temperatures are expected to hit 38 degrees Celsius at maximum and 30 degrees Celsius at the lowest, Qatar Meteorology Department said in its weather update.
The wind will mainly blow in a northwesterly direction at 18-28 KT gusting to 40 KT inshore and will reach 42 KT offshore on Friday.
Visibility during the weekend will mainly be 4-8 kilometres / 2 kilometres or less at times.
Due to this weather condition, the Department shared a few tips when exposed to waves of dust during this period.
1. Avoid direct exposure to dust and dirt
2. Take care by washing the face, nose, and mouth frequently.
3. Keep wearing a mask to avoid dust from entering your respiratory system.
4. When dust gets into the eyes, avoid rubbing them, and rinse immediately with water.
