Death of Palestinian journalist Shireen Abu Akleh in Israeli forces raid in West Bank
(MENAFN) The Palestinian Health Ministry stated that a senior Palestinian journalist was murdered and died on Wednesday whereas reporting an Israeli operation in the West Bank town of Jenin.
According to the ministry, Shireen Abu Akleh, 51, was a well-known Arabic-language correspondent for Al Jazeera. She was murdered and killed shortly after.
Israel was implicated by Palestinian and Qatari leaders, as well as Al Jazeera.
Ali Al Samoudi, an Al Jazeera journalist, was injured in the same event but is in stable condition.
Videos circulating on the internet demonstrate After being murdered, Abu Akleh's head was covered in blood. People can be seen frantically trying to get her into a car. Doctors at a hospital declared her dead.
