Foreign Secretary of Bangladesh pays courtesy call on Minister Ganoo

The Foreign Secretary of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, Ambassador Masud Bin Momen, paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Land Transport and Light Rail, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and International Trade, Mr Alan Ganoo, today, in Port-Louis.

The High Commissioner for the People's Republic of Bangladesh in Mauritius, Ms Rezina Ahmed, was also present.

In a statement, Ambassador Masud Bin Momen underlined that he had a fruitful meeting with Minister Ganoo, adding that discussions focused on the excellent bilateral relations between Mauritius and Bangladesh. 

He indicated that they also talked about the directives to take forward the initiatives that Bangladesh had taken after assuming the chairmanship of the Indian Ocean Rim Association.

Other topics namely tourism, fishing and aquaculture were also at the fore of discussions in a bid to promote cooperation between the two countries.
