Afghanistan - 4 injured as security forces vehicle overturns in Laghman

MEHTARLAM (Pajhwok): Four security personnel were injured when their pick up vehicle overturned in the Badpakh district of eastern Laghman province on Thursday, officials said.

A spokesman for the Laghman governor, Salahuddin Zahid, confirmed the incident to Pajhwok Afghan News, saying four security personnel were injured when their vehicle overturned at around 10am.

But he did not give further details.

Abdul Wali, a resident of the area and an eyewitness, told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident took place when the district Police chief's vehicle overturned.

He added that the police chief and three of his bodyguards were injured in the incident.

But the governor's spokesman said the police chief was safe and unharmed.
