Netflix stock goes up as company raises costs in US, Canada
(MENAFN) Netflix increased the costs of its monthly subscriptions for its services in the United States, resulting in raising the stock in more than 3 percent at Friday’s trading sessions.
On Friday, Jan. 14 Netflix stock eventually went up within 1.25 percent to end at USD525.69.
As stated on Netflix’s site, the monthly price for the basic subscription increased 1 dollar to reach USD9.99, while the regular subscription climbed from USD13.99 to USD15.49. the premium subscription increased from USD17.99 to USD19.99.
One representative of the company confirmed the raise, saying “we’re updating our prices so that we can continue to offer a wide variety of quality entertainment options,” in a report.
