Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index increased by 1.61 percent or 1,910.41 points on Friday, with an everyday trading rate at 30.2 billion liras (USD2.2 billion).
After 9.30 AM local time (0630GMT), the US dollar/Turkish lira exchange volume surged to 13.8000 against 13.7950 on Thursday.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange volume as well rose to 15.6000, versus 15.5680, and one British pound reached 18.2910 Turkish liras, a decrease from 18.3250.
