Al Arabi clinch silver at Asian Championship

Al Arabi Sports Club players and officials with the runner-up trophy after losing to Iran's Sirjan Foolad in a thrilling Asian Men's Club Volleyball Championship final at Terminal 21 Hall in Nakhon Rachasima, Thailand, yesterday.

This is Al Arabi's fourth silver medal at the Asian Club Championship following similar performances in 2010, 2015 and 2016. Al Arabi won the Asian crown in 2012 in China and have also picked  three bronze medals in 2007, 2009 and 2017.

Yesterday's 3-1 (25-19, 21-25, 25-23, 25-22) win against the spirited Qatari side secured Sijran Foolad a spot in the FIVB Men's Club World Championship, which will take place later this year.
