Participants of Al Khafji battle, Kuwait liberation operation honoured

(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Doha: The Armed Forces honoured veterans who took part in the Al Khafji battle and the operation of liberation of Kuwait, during a ceremony held at the National Service Academy Theater in Miqdam camp yesterday. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs H E Dr. Khalid bin Mohamed Al Attiyah honoured the veterans of the Qatari Armed Forces.
A short film was also shown on the occasion that embodies the memories of the armed forces' participation in the battle of Al Khafji and the operation to liberate Kuwait. 
The ceremony was attended by a number of senior officers in the armed forces.
