New Zealand congress puts new counter-violence rule

(MENAFN) As stated by New Zealand’s migration minister, New Zealand's assembly put new counter-violence legislation, granting more forces to safety firms in their hard work to battle violence.

According to Kris Faafoi, the bill was part of an administration progress to apply the advice of a royal commission search to the terror attacks in March 2019 on two mosques in the town of Christchurch.

Faafoi also declared "The Bill strengthens our laws to fight the ever evolving nature of terrorism and closes longstanding gaps in our counter terrorism legislation to better protect New Zealanders."

Faafoi added "The new counter terrorism law's major change is to add the criminal offence of planning or preparation for a terrorist act."
