Xinjiang Alataw Pass China-Europe freight train trips increases in 1st half


(MENAFN)According to the local customs, Alataw Pass, a major rail port in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, listed a record 3,033 China-Europe freight train trips crossing the inland port in the first six months of 2021 to increase 41.07 percent on annual basis.

A record 2.28 million tons of cargo was brought by the trains over these trips in the same mentioned period to increase 56.08 percent annually.

Automobiles and wood materials were included in goods from Central Asia and Europe on inbound trains, liquid crystal displays, laptop computers and auto parts were included in outbound cargo.

Customs official, Zheng Changdong said that Chinese customs authorities have enabled procedures to permit the trains to pass 24 hours per day.
