Brunei: Rise 1.1 pct seen in CPI during April
(MENAFN) On Wednesday, Jun. 30 the most recent issued data showed that Brunei's total Consumer Price Index (CPI) during April this year jumped by 1.1 percent annually.
The CPI increases was contributed mostly by rises in the prices and costs of transport (7.2 percent); food and non-alcoholic drinks (1.5 percent); and communication (1.8 percent), reported Kenya’s Department of Economic Planning and Statistics at the Ministry of Finance and Economy.
In the meantime, on a month-on-month basis, the April 2021 CPI registered a decline of 0.5 percent in comparison with March 2021.
CPI is a gauge of price changes of commodities and services paid by the consumer in a particular period. The country’s list of commodities and services in the CPI is anchored in the average spending per household.
