Turkey receives 509,787 foreign visitors in January of current year
(MENAFN)According to the country’s Culture and Tourism Ministry, Turkey received 509,787 foreign visitors in the first month of the current year.
It further declared that the number dropped 71.48 percent annual in last month from 1.8 million because of the Coronavirus pandemic restrictions.
Istanbul kept its rank as Turkey’s top tourist hub, attracting almost 65.7 percent of foreign visitors -- 334,825 persons.
Edirne in northwestern Turkey witnessed the second-highest figure of foreigners, with 52,698.
