Kuwait information ministry throws weight behind anti-corruption drive

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Jan 28 (KUNA) -- Kuwaitآ's information ministry said on Thursday it would continue to cooperate with state bodies to push a sweeping anti-corruption crusade that aims to protect public funds, citing progress on internal infractions and financial irregularities.
The ministry appreciates Kuwait's State Audit Bureau's help to remedy financial violations, said spokesperson Anwar Murad, who gave equal credit to the finance ministry for its contributions towards probing such misconduct.
The state-wide cooperation has helped the information ministry move to address the matter, added the spokesperson, saying the ministry would spare no effort to uncover corrupt activities and identify the perpetrators, subsequently bringing them to justice. (end)
